New enhancements for optical probing systems
At Renishaw, we are committed to continuous innovation and exceptional global service and support. By listening to our customers and understanding their evolving needs, we are making significant enhancements to our optical machine tool probes and tool setters.
The new improvements, now incorporated in the OMP40-2 transmission probe and the OTS tool setter, using Opti-Logic™ technology, make configuring your system easier than ever. Additionally, we are making remarkable strides in battery efficiency, introducing an ultra-low power mode that extends battery life up to an impressive 2,150 hours. This enhancement not only maximises your investment but also reduces the frequency of battery replacements, thereby minimizing environmental impact.

Why probe?
Process variation is the enemy of competitiveness and profitability, leading to waste, inefficiency, high quality costs, increased manning levels, late deliveries, and poor traceability. The key to achieving consistent, automated, and productive machining lies in understanding the sources of variation and addressing them at their origin.
Time is money, and time spent manually setting workpiece positions and inspecting finished products is better invested in machining. Renishaw probing systems eliminate the costly machine downtime and component scrapping associated with manual setting and inspection.

on-machine probing and find out how you can achieve an increase in productivity, profits and increase your competitive edge.
Technologies to help configure a Renishaw machine tool trigger probe
At Renishaw, we have made probing simple using our smart apps for smartphones.
Opti-Logic is a user-friendly technique that uses light pulses to transmit and receive data between the Renishaw Probe Setup app and a Renishaw machine tool probe.
Discover how to configure your machine tool probe efficiently in under a minute by watching the video below.

GoProbe app
The GoProbe app conveniently produces the single-line command on your smartphone. Simply select the probing cycle you need from the menu, complete the input data fields and the app will generate the single-line command for that cycle, ready for you to key into the machine. The GoProbe app also includes animations of each probing cycle for visual reference.
The app can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store or the Play Store and will only work with machines which have GoProbe compatible macro software installed.

Probe Setup app
The Probe Setup app offers a simplified method for customising Renishaw probe settings, making the process faster and easier than traditional printed instructions. It features Opti-Logic™ technology, which uses light pulses to transfer settings between a smartphone and a machine tool probe.
The app can be downloaded free of charge on your smartphone from the App Store or the Play Store.
