Meet your speakers
Jorge Diniz, Applications Scientist
Jorge is a seasoned Raman Applications Scientist at Renishaw, with a strong academic background in Chemistry and Materials. Jorge’s PhD research focused on the study of confined phenomena in porous systems using vibrational spectroscopy, including Raman. Jorge has continued to successfully apply his expertise in Raman research instruments across a wide range of application areas.
Dr Wing Chung Tsoi, Associate Professor at Swansea University
Dr Tsoi’s research interests are solution-process photovoltaic devices, including organic and perovskite solar cells. His expertise is in advanced nano-characterisation methods for probing the structures and morphology of photovoltaic thin films, thus leading to improvements in stability and performance. He uses Raman spectroscopy and functional atomic force microscopy (AFM) for applications such as indoor photovoltaic cells, power generation windows and aerospace.
