Watch our on-demand webinar:
Raman - microscopic analysis of macroscopic samples
Watch this webinar to learn how you can acquire Raman spectra from samples that are impossible to analyse with a conventional microscope. Large, irregular, and dynamic samples will be studied including engineered components, 2-D materials and systems undergoing change. Examples include coated gas turbine blades, works of art, and melting polymers.
These can only be analysed successfully using the Renishaw Virsa™ analyser with its LiveTrack™ surface tracking option. It is ultra-sensitive and has microscopic resolution. Now you can take readings in situ and samples do not have to be brought to the laboratory.
Meet your experts:
Tim Batten, General Manager
Tim joined the applications team at Renishaw in 2010. In this role, he has helped develop several combined Raman systems. His personal research interests are in materials science, semiconductor physics, 2-D materials and Raman instrumentation. After roles in product management, he became General manager of the Spectroscopy Division in 2022.
Tim Prusnick, US Sales Manager
Tim has over 25 years’ experience in industry and academia working with Raman spectroscopy instrumentation. He has a strong background in all aspects of Raman, including the fundamental science, applications, instrumentation, and custom product solutions.
